washing SOCl2

I just finished a chlorination reaction with SOCL2 and had a small accident at the end when cooling down my reaction mixture and now I have SOCl2 everywhere in the fume hood, on the flasks etc. I've put everything in water under the fume hood over night, what to I do next??

The SOCl2 will not be there anymore after that night. It reacts with water, giving HCl and SO2 and in contact with air, a droplet of SOCl2 will not survive for a long time.

I would just switch on the fume hood for several hours and clean it with water to get rid of acidic splashes. Drawing fresh and dry air through the fume hood is the best you can do for it.
