Fume hood help

I need a really good tutorial on building a fume hood. I plan to do some risky experiments that can only be done in this, and I prefer it over outside. Does anyone have a link to an excellent fume hood tutorial?

This forum is loaded with threads discussing fume hood design and construction. Search and ye shall find them.

It's hard to give general directions as everyone has his own set of constraints, most notably in how much time, effort and money they are willing to expend.

The prime consideration in hood design is adequate "face velocity." This is the velocity of the room air as it crosses the plane of the opening of the hood.
