KPbI3 Synthesis

Anyone have an idea of steps I would take to get KPbI3 from solder using chemicals that you would find in a university lab setting?

get Pb(NO3)2 and add 50% KI solution let it crystallize to make PbI2, filter those and add more KI to form KPbI3
