Full cation seperation

Its so long time ago that i have chmistry in school.
but i want so make a totally cation seperation way
with pictures from all elements can be found in a device
at home esp. an old Cellphone.

I want to dissolve it after and after until i have a Solution of all,
without the plastic -> go to domestic waste...

Its in first line for my Kids cause they go to middle school but Chemistry is very poor

on Knowlegde there :-( .
So they can learn what Materials are use to produce a device like this and,
the second step is filtering and dry the filtration residue to show it at the Lesson.
Either as the Salt of the Element or if possible the solid Element.

Acids and Bases are not the Problem.
The Sequence is what make a little Problem cause when i use HCl first and then use
HNO3 for the solid residues, match them together so Silver and Lead will fall out.
Some others can be too.
So i think maybe its good to neutralize the acids first, ok, but when i have Silvernitrate and match it with some chlorids i have the same problem.

Has somebody an idea for this quite experiment?

Regards, Thorsten

Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qualitative_inorganic_analysis for information about analysis of elements.

Ask again if you have any more questions.
