Synthesis of glutamine from sodium glutamate

I do not have much information on the subject, but I am very interested in the synthesis of glutamine from glutamate monosodium GMS. I have read that another way is from the amino acid serine, but I would like to know the route from monosodium glutamate. In advance thank you very much for your contributions :)

If it is the salt of an acid, how would you isolate the free acid? MSG is a salt.
