Questions about powdered aluminum

i have been using a blender to "powder" some aluminum, so i have very fine aluminum particles in suspension in water.

i was wondering a safe method to "dry" this so i can have dry aluminum powder.

right now i am just letting it settle in a 2L glass jar and decanting the water.

someone suggested that i dry this in an oven, but i am wary of aluminum actually drying, becomeing airborne, and igniting.

also this person suggested bioling it over an open flame, i think they want to kill me.

any help is appreciated. thanks
