Inorganic Chemistry

I believe that this forum needs a section for inorganic chemistry, as I've seen this topic raised at least once before.

What do you think?

Most of "Chemistry in General" would then be useless. Significant portions of "Miscellaneous", "Reagents and Apparatus Acquisition", and possibly even "Beginnings" would have to be repartitioned as well.

Now, if there were a subsection for elemental syntheses, that I could get behind. ;)

I think you could have replied with comments where you saw the topic raised, rather than open another half-assed topic. At the very least you could have given reason.

I don't think many amateurs are working on synthesizing elements. Isolating elements is a different matter—one I try to cover in my compendium.

I would be behind that. Even better would be just "synthesis" or "synthesis and extractions"
