Doubt about Fulminates

Since Mercury is hard to obtain for some people, and Silver is somewhat expensive, is it possible to make other kinds of metal fulminates, besides Hg(CNO)2 and AgCNO?

You mean that i can only obtain other metal fulminates through Hg(CNO)2?

No, you can make silver fulminate in the same manner as mercury fulminate:

Collins, P. H. and Holloway, K. J. (1978), A Reappraisal of Silver Fulminate as a Detonant. Propellants, Explosives, Pyrotechnics, 3: 159–162. doi: 10.1002/prep.19780030603

But yes, the other fulminates are generally only accessible through mercury fulminate (or silver, but silver is less stable).

How much fulminate do you hope to make? Silver is USD $0.75/g and that makes 1.3g of AgCNO... If you're making more than a gram or two at a time you're sure to have an explosion. Silver fulminate is extremely sensitive to friction.

Yes, that seems fair, and by the way, fulminates should be stored underwater, right?

Yes they should be stored under water, but silver can still propagate a DDT despite being under water. Glass rod in a glass beaker on AgCNO under water is enough to cause detonation of the contents.
