Ball mill issue

I built a ball mill to mix chemicals, but the can that I use (powdered milk can, I don't know if this is the correct word used in english) doesn't spin. The motor rotates a PCV 1 inch pipe, the the pipe should rotate the can, but there isn't enough friction for it to spin. Any suggestion, what can I use to build up friction?

Sorry for english mistakes.

Put a heavy rubber band around it. (There are also any number of tapes that could be tried to add friction.)

Put a heavy rubber around the can and the pipe or just the can?

Either or both. I use this myself.

The rubber worked pretty fine, I used air-chamber rubber of motorcycles tires.

You could also use thick rubber o-rings.
