Ouch...

It sets the oil... an old trick for hardening sand (before pouring metal in it) is to mix a few percent linseed oil then bake it hard. They say to do it when the wife is away...

Ooops :(

So will I need to resoak the electrode? some of the oil is bound to have seeped out of the electrode (as evident from the good), but should I go ahead and resoak it, or just stick it in the oven?
How long/hot should I bake it?

I'd bake it for a few hours, chances are there's some salt water in it or something (not to mention various sorts of bleach) so it won't be terribly great but better than nothing.
