HCl by sulfuric acid

Sorry if there is a thread about this, I searched but couldnt find. I know sulfuric acid can make hyrocloric with salt, sulfuric acid driping into table salt and HCl gas is the product. How to collect HCl gas in a safe way? Is there a way to get/keep HCl acid in solutions in liquid directly in this reaction or has to collect it first as gas.?

A little late but I found myself.
http://designer-drugs.com/pte/12.162.180.114/dcd/chemistry/h...

If he puts the gas directly to IPA, is it OK? I mean the picture in the link, If he doesnt use bubler and trap is it so bad?

And a second question how to make a solution 20ml HCl in 100ml DH2O. WHat the chemist means by 20ml HCl? Isn it(HCl) gas? What is 20ml HCl ?

Maybe one can make a HCl solution by stirring an excess amount of powdered NaCl in a mixture of the solvent (acetone, abs. alcohol like IPA etc.) plus H2SO4.
Na2SO4 will precipitate while the HCl remains in the solvent.

For one mol HCl you need 1/2 mol H2SO4 and min. 1 mol NaCl. Because the NaCl maybe doesn't dissolve and reacts only at its surface, I would use 4 mol NaCl minimum and stir strong and as long as possible.

For DMSO this works without any excess of NaCl, for IPA and other solvents I don't know.
I recently had this Idea for making amine hydrochlorides from the freebase in acetone but didn't try it.

1. Don't waste precious H2SO4 to make HCl

2. If you absolutely can't find an otc HCl product buy some dry-acid from a pool store and heat with salt to make HCl. Capture in very cold water outdoors is safest.

3. When you're buying dry acid at the pool store make sure they don't already stock HCl soln. It is likely they will.

4. Post in the proper forum (like beginnings maybe) ;)

I was a bit confused myself seeing this in organic chemistry.
