may require ridiculous stuff.

szuko03 is just saying that a procedure MIGHT need complicated equipment.

He is not saying a 250ml RBF is ridiculous.

The word 'ridiculous' is used in the sense of 'something that i can never get'.

ridiculous stuff,

250ml RBF using a vacuum..

What's so ridiculous about 250ml RBFs and vacuum? My lab is a particularly ramshackle one, yet I do have both a 250ml RBF and vacuum.

I think szuko03 was trying to illustrate the wide range in degree of how technical each procedure you can find is, with some claiming that huge amounts of "ridiculous" stuff are needed, and others claiming to only require simple setups such as a RBF and vacuum pump. It appears they are surpassed in their own language by a Russian. Sad.

People have their own individual skills.

Some are better at Chemistry, some are better at Languages, some are excellent at everything.

I was present at a Graduation Ceremony once where the award for the World's Best English Composition (for that year's exam submissions) was awarded to a young Spanish Girl by the UK examining body.

We can't all be quite so excellent all of the time.

Thank you. My God, sometimes i forget scientists are so literal ;)

Chemistry is a natural drive, not an interest.
