Making amino acid nitrate's


There is not alot info regarding amino acid nitrate's.

There have been done glycine nitrate: here

I was wondering what other amino acids that can be used with only NHO3 to make amino acid nitrate's.

Here are some i was thinking of:
Alanine - C3H7NO2
Aspartic acid - C4H7NO4
Glutamic acid - C5H9NO4
Serine - C3H7NO3
Threonine - C4H9NO3

Anyone here Explored any synthesis of these? Or have any useful info om amino nitrate's?

I am interested i exploring different types and testing power.

With regard to oxygen balance and energy output...
Glycine nitrate will be better than other amino-acids --> better explosive performances.
H2N-CH2-CO2H. HNO3 is very close to methylamine nitrate with an added CO2...
CH3-NH2. HNO3 + CO2 -irreal reaction->HO2C-CH2-NH2.HNO3

Maybe you could investigate:
-Glycine perchlorate:
HO2C-CH2-NH2

-Arginine dinitrate or diperchlorate:
HO2C-CH(NH2)-CH2-CH2-CH2-NH-C(=NH)-NH2

-Asparagine dinitrate or diperchlorate:
HO2C-CH(NH2)-CH2-CO-NH2

-Dinitrotyrosine nitrate or pechlorate:
HO-Ar-CH2-CH(NH2)-CO2H

Perchlorate will be better than nitrates, eventually nitroformiates.

Or make synthetic amino-acids with more basic groups for fixation of oxydisers anions....
HO2C-CH(NH2)-CH(NH2)-CO2H (diamino tartric acid) --> dinitrate or diperchlorate or dinitroformiate
HO2C-C(NH2)(-CH2-NH2)2 --> 3 anions fixables..
...

Thank you for answer, i quite new. But made some compounds allready. And im careful and wanting to know much before trying.

I was only interested in plane nitrates from only mixing with HNO3.
I don’t have access to conc H2SO4 or HNO3 yet so nitration I need to wait with.
But ty for giving me some good example`s and explanation.
I see there will be a OB problem but how will they perform or will they perform at all? Not a point in making it?
Is it possible to synthesis other amino acids as with glycine nitrate synthesis? Mostly thinking of serine to serine nitrate?

Bad OB will mean less power and they will perform bad or very bad (worst than a bad black powder).

It is possible to synthetise amino-acids via Strecker synthesis reaction for amino-acid.
R-C(-R')=O + NH4C#N (or more conveniently NaC#N and NH4Cl) --> R-C(-R')(NH2)-C#N
R,R' being = H, Ar or Alk
R-C(-R')(NH2)-C#N + H2O --H(+)--> R-C(-R')(NH2)-CO2H + NH4(+)

Serine dinitrate (O2NO-CH2-CH(NH3ONO2)-CO2H) will be unstable a bit like ethanolamine dinitrate, 2-amino-1,3-propantriol trinitrate and TRIS-tetranitrate...
The -CO2H and -NH3NO3 induces acidity that is bad news for the stability of the nitrate ester of the alcohol function.
