Uses of Trisodium Citrate Dihydrate?


I recently bought some Trisodium Citrate Dihydrate but I have some how forgotten why I bought it in the first place! Can someone please remind me of reactions involving Trisodium Citrate? Prepare citrate salts from copper (or likely other transition metals)

It's also used as a microbio/molecular bio reagent

For plasmid extraction I think. There's some protocols on git-hub for this. Also, you could make citrazinic acid from it...if you could somehow not botch up the procedure like those of us who have tried before...
