Electrochemistry Poem

Hi, this is my first post and i wanted my first post to be memorable, at least to myself if no one else...
I include a silly joke of a poem, i hope it gets a giggle;

Ode to an anode (or "Ode to love and electrolysis")

A part of me has migrated
I look but find no solution
And I'm positive that it’s plated
My loss is her redistribution

I wear a veneer but it’s tainted,
It’s tarnished by a vile pollution
My concentration is abated
And it feels like electrocution

I hope one day I can win her heart,
But I think I’m fighting the current
I feel something tearing me apart
It bubbles up inside; abhorrent

I remember times shared and enjoyed
etched so deeply into my skull
Memories of her now leave a void
Her beauty, gone, makes my life so dull

It shines gold, clinging to another
It shines so bright I can’t ignore it
Try as I might I can’t recover
With delusion, against fear, I pit

I await aid of a higher purpose
To flick a switch and bring unto me;
To return happiness in surplus
To be always together; with she

(btw this isnt meant to make sense its just a collection of poor chem/electrical metaphors dressed up as poetry)

beautiful, beautiful poem ,especially this line -"I look but find no solution" .Here is a little poem by me on behalf of our forum
if your love for chemistry is genuine
and your interest in it is real
then I am sure SM will help
in finding your true potential ;)

P.S -it made more sense then the electro-chem class in school :D

ok im a little drunk and enjoying my time here so far so i fished out another chem related poem... btw for what its worth "fairy" is a type of soap in the UK.

ode to potentially homeopathic soap

i met you in my kitchen, just behind my sink
you were dark green and stopped the kitchen stink
but we asked too much of you, you had to have a drink
now you dont make bubbles, and i think that theres a link.

i wish that you would share with me your tale
it is no crime to be imperfect nor be frail
if your ill or overworked its no wonder you might fail
you seem to lack concentration, and you look so very pale

i am aware that A is equal to ECL
but without uv-vis i just cannot tell
i am colourblind and cannot see if u still dwell
in that tiny little polyethylene shell

my dishes still seem cleaner when i employ your time
but is this just hope? they no longer smell of lime.
i fear that you have gone and its a little scary.
but im a student and cant afford another bottle of fairy!
