Ionistation of gasses (Fusor)

Hello, I don't know much about this topic, but is it possible to create new chemicals by ionizing gasses and letting it react in its plasma form.

I saw some video's of people making fusors on youtube.
E.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vERIyKwWvo

In fusors with Deuterium gas fusion does occur to form Helium-3, but is it possible to use for example Carbon Monoxide and let the plasma form Ethylene dione?
