4F-Methylphenidat to 4F-Ethylphenidat

Hi Everybody,
4F-Methylphenidat is Methylphenidat with a flour-atom bond at the 4.postition of the benzene-ring. It lasts longer and is a bit stronger.
some month ago I had a very bad batch 4F-Methylphenidat, wich has to be cleaned bevor consumed, no question.
So I decided to recrystallize it with Ethanol/Aceton, what was succesfull. The slight yellow, dirty Powder went to nice little colorless shards. And they where much better in all aspects.
I've heard that methylphenidat can be converted to Ethylphenidat just let them react a few hours.
Is it possible that this happend? Thank you!
