Esterification question

Hi everyone,

An alkylhalide wil react with a organic acid salt to give an ester.

E.g. ethylbromide wil react with potasium acetate to give ethyl-acetate + BrK, but since one is polar and the other is non polar, how it could be done? Shaking will work?

TY
