What to do with naphtalene (--> naphtol)

Hi everyone

I have big amounts of quite pure naphtalene and would like to get something more reactive. I thought that naphthol (a or b) would be a more interesting precursor.

I just wondered what to do to get naphtol from naphtalene
I assumed that to sulfonate with H2SO4 then to melt with natrium soda would be an solution but don't know how to proceed.
If anyone knows ?

If there are interesting reactions please let me know!
But I would prefer to prepare mono substituate naphtalene.

Thanks for your ideas

Peter
