I graduated with a BA in biology from Drew University in N.J. with a focus in molecular, and a minor in philosophy. I interned in both a genetic reseach lab and a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in the analytic lab during this time. Immediately upon graduating, I moved to Southern California really for a lack of anything better to do. I worked in a flavors lab for a short time, maybe 7 months, then jumped to cometics where I\'ve been formulating skincare and haircare products for the last 6 years. It\'s a job; there\'s no heavy lifting. The chemistry is really basic, so I actually get an advantage from the biology because I really focus on the skin and hair and how to affect them to make old people feel better about themselves. The only real exposure I have any more to micro is the fact that everything I develop has to be challenged to make sure it\'ll kill anything in it that has the audacity to try and live. I\'ve always enjoyed it though. |
