I like to learn more about the universe, exercise, appreciate music, and enjoy the company of friends and family.
Chemistry is a relatively new interest. I have high hopes that this endeavor may be rewarding for me and I hope to be a contributing member of this group.
I believe that home/amateur scientific endeavors are wonderful and that a world could do much worse than to have all of its people running chemical reactions in their homes and yards, actively engaging with the world and pushing science further in the process, directly or indirectly through a variety of mechanisms (increasing the number of people interested in becoming institutional scientists, raising scientist children, participating in our democracy from a more chemically savvy position, and, who knows, maybe actually pushing the frontiers of science themselves!) |
