There is literally zero credible evidence that this was intentional so far. When this type of thing is being question, the logical approach is assume negligence unless outright malice can be proven beyond reasonable doubt.

"Veterans Today is a pro-Kremlin, antisemitic conspiracy theory and fake news website."
"In 2012, the website's chairman, Gordon Duff, told an interviewer that "about 30% of what's written on Veterans Today, is patently false."

Beat me to it @zwt2.

I'm intrigued by their "expert opinion".
" Yes NH4NO3 is an oxidising agent and explosive under the right conditions, it is also very stable."

Somehow it's hard to see the stuff as all that stable...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ammonium_nitrate_disas...

I'm also amused by "you can’t fake infrared" alongside a picture which looks like the missile (the only thing that's in sharp focus) looks like it has been drawn in with crayons.

Best advice I've read all month!
:)
On a connected note, why is SM (a science forum) inundated with alt-right conspiracy garbage and paranoid gibbering? Is it because the often secretive and frowned upon nature of hobby chemistry engenders paranoia and mistrust of government typical of the far right?
I know that politics are off limits, but this seems like a forum related phenomenon which cannot be ignored.

I suspect it's actually just a small number of very loud and persistent people.
Certain groups feel the need to constantly spout their political opinions everywhere, especially where they know politics of any sort are not welcome. That way they can play the victim when they're "silenced," and otherwise rest easy knowing their opinions won't really be challenged by those with opposing views, who will generally reserve them for more appropriate places and times.

Precisely. Also, I can't help but feel like the concerted anti-intellectual movement surging across Western democracies hasn't at least had a few "intentional discreditors" directed towards this board.

Maybe this is a topic for whimsy, regarding the psychology of conspiracy theorists. I think a lot of it is rooted in control issues, namely that a certain group feels helpless in the direction of their own life given economic and social turmoils over the past decade, so it helps them feel better if they can somehow attribute the issues of the world, and their own existence, to some inside conspiracy that is keeping them down. And with that mentality, gents, i give you 21st Century Populism.

Well, I've heard tell, that if you get Ammonium Nitrate hot enough, it can blow. It's pretty stable when cold.

But, if a fire started, and some of it were molten, I can see problems. Interesting. I'm gonna look that up.

So, yeah. Bunch of Ammonium Nitrate, big fire....Ka Blammo!

Too bad. A high percentage of the Lebanese people are awesome. Alas, they are a small country, and are stuck in the Middle East, where they are surrounded by bigger players, with global ambitions. Been conflict for decades now.

And now, this.
