Distilling Acetone Quick Question

Will gaseous acetone eat away at the o-ring on some of the cheaper still-heads (thermometer adapter inlet)?

I'm using a "laboy glass" still head. And it doesn't specify if the cap is even PTFE but I am assuming so.

I used the search engine and even google, and all I could find was a discussion on nitric acid distillation which was okay but not really helpful. I didn't want to bump that thread though because this is unrelated in a way?

Thank you for your time!

Someone on another forum gave me the go-ahead. I trust their input. I'm sorry for this waste of DB space/band-width.

the cap on the laboy glass thermometer adapter is nylon and the o ring is viton. Don't worry, you are fine. Laboy makes some quality glass even though they are cheap.
