Storage of chemicals

Ive been doing home chemistry for about 2 years now and because i dont have a good income, i cant buy good storage containers for my chemicals so i use what i can find around the home... first i used to use Chinese containers, tho having over 20 sorts of chemicals, each in its own container, it takes up alot of space so ive moved to those white medicine containers with the child proof lid, they hold maybe just over 100 grams and each and take up around 1/8 of the space of 1 Chinese container... is this a good storage method of non corrosive chemicals? for the liquids (acids.. etc...) i use those amber bottles with the safety cap... are these good storage devices?
