Coloring the mercury

Hi,

I'm a beginner in chemistry and I want to ask something.
I want to know if there is possible to change pure mercury's color to something other than silver-ish...

Thanks

Yes, by making amalgamates, with metals that have their own colours. Depending on the proportion and the metal, the amalgamate may be solid however.
