Understanding Mutual Solubility Diagrams

Hello,

Can anyone tell me how to read/interpred mutual solubility diagrams or lead me to a book or artical that will educate me.

Two examples of what I am referring to is here:

Another example here:

Liquid-Liquid Equilibrium: Verification of the Lever Rule
A. D. Jordan
Journal of Chemical Education March 2000, Vol. 77, No. 3, p. 395

Abstract
A simple experimental extension to the traditional determination of the mutual solubility curve for a binary system of partly miscible liquids is presented for the methanol-cyclohexane system. It allows for the determination of the composition of one of the phases and the ratio of its mass to the total mass of the mixture, at a given temperature. These values are compared to those obtained from the solubility curve and the use of the lever rule. The experiment helps students in the understanding of phase diagrams and the agreement between the two methods gives credence to the lever rule.
