leftover ammonium chloride

I have pounds of NH4Cl left over from MeNH3 prep. Can it be used again as is or is there a purification one should perform?

If any is necessary, a recrystallization would be it.

Recrystallize it to remove MeNH2.HCL which will lessen the
production of Me2NH2.HCl if used in another run.

Also dry it so you are not weighing water (solvent).

Really though it should be good to go as is, in another run with HCHO as a large excess of the NH3.HCl is used anyway.
Just allow an excess to compensate for being wet.

The recovered NH3.HCl tends to be somewhat yellowish
so Joe will recrystallize and wash as standard procedure
because he is rather finicky about purity.
