Stoichiometry of the reaction of ascorbic acid and copper sulfate
I am interested in doing the reaction of ascorbic acid and copper sulfate to produce copper powder. I like to do my reactions very close to the
stoichiometric amounts, but I can't find any information on the reaction except for that it exists. I probably just missed something, so could someone
help me?

Ascorbic acid loses two electrons while forming dehydroascorbic acid.

To avoid under-reduction and formation of Cu(I) species, I would advise a generous excess of ascorbic acid.
