I made a heating mantle sorta
My old one died on me. So I scavenged materials from it and took apart an old space heater to make this. Works surprisingly well and is very
lightweight so I can just set it on top of my magnetic stir and it works. The wiring is temporary for now, I intend to make everything a little
cleaner eventually.

not exactly museum, or even pretty pictures standard, but....
If it works and is not a hazard then that is all we need.
better to have a busy ugly (...sorry but it is..) mantle
than a rarely used shiny one.
Great that you can use the stirrer or your hotplate through the mantle.
Nice (but ugly
