UK source of platinum wire
hey i was hoping someone in the UK could help me out on this one,
I need to find a source of comparitivly cheap platinum wire for electrodes, at the time of writing this post Ebay didnt have any. The platinum is for
an electrode for production of persulphates.

Contact the seller uGems on eBay. Even if this seller does not have any platinum in an auction, you can ask for it. I have pure 0.3 mm wire from him
and also a 95/5 Pt/Ir allay. Cost is appr. $6 per inch. Thicker wire is available as well, but of course at higher cost.
I strongly recomment the Pt/Ir alloy. It is somewhat cheaper than pure Pt, but the main reason to use this, is that it is easier to bend (not as
brittle as pure Pt and yes, I have personal experience with that!) and some persons say that it also is somewhat more corrosion-resistant.
