benzyl chloride - TCCA - toluene

Hello!

Some time ago - i think i read something about the radical chlorination of toluene directly by TCCA and catalysed by Dibenzoyl peroxide.. But i can't find this thread anymore.. Please can you help me. Perhaps you have even some experiences with this method.

Practice your searching skills

"An attempt to use benzoyl peroxide as a free-radical initiator with gaseous chlorination showed it to be much inferior to even the halogen lamps."
