PH of NH4HS solution


Hi,
What is the PH of the solution of one mole NH4HS in one litter of water?
Please show the calculation procedure.

This should be in "Beginnings"

You would have to get the pKa first of hydrogen sulfide and ammonia.

You then figure out how to rearrange the equilibrium equations for ammonia, hydrogen sulfide and water (yes, water!) so that you can solve for the [H<sub>3</sub>O<sup>+</sup>] term.
