Is a nickel anode in chlorate cell OK ?

I have heard that Ni metal is resistent to Cl2 gas so can this be used as an anode in electrolysis of aqueous KCl sol'n ?

No is the short answer!
It's just too reactive for use as an insoluble anode . . .

Perhaps you should try a little reading before making silly posts

Try dann2's site just for starters:

http://www.oxidizing.110mb.com/chlorate/anodes.html

There are probably hundreds of threads on sciencemadness dealing with chlorate anodes!
