Potassium Cyanide conservation
Hello, i made a bulk of KCN and i want to minimize any risk with its conservation.
Has anyone an idea of a couple of rapid and efficient reaction to convert and regenerate the salt quantitatively ?
I'm French so excuse my language

I mix my cyanide with boiling sulfuric acid and store the resulting gas in large party balloons for later use. When you need some, just pop one.
No, really, don't do that. Isn't pure and dry cyanide salt stable as it is? I store my dried NaCN in a plastic bottle that is placed in a double
ziploc bag and labelled properly.

I agree with Fyndium. Store it in a well-sealed jar or container, label properly. You may want to throw in some CaCl2 into a ziplock bag and insert
the jar into the bag if you're paranoid about water getting in. Cyanates do not form quickly even on prolonged storage.
