Testing my copper chromite catalyst
I have synthesized the catalyst multiple times and tried to use it for dehydrogenation but it doesn't seem to be working. I tried to do the condom
test to collect the released hydrogen but there hasn't been that much pressure, just reflux for hours.
What is the best way to test the catalyst? I don't mean sending it to a lab and such of course. I mean by dehydrogenation something that is cheap and
easy to see that it was "dehydrogenated"?

There is a compound that is very easy to dehydrogenate and should work as an easy substrate for your catalyst. It has two alcohols and four carbons,
but I'm sure you already tried it.

Be more specific, this smells of GBL-cookery 
Vague questions like this, with only partial info, in the organics section, are a red flag for most members.
If you do legit chemistry, then describe precisely what you did, otherwise stay away with your posts.

My question is not related to synthesizing anything. I just want to know what is the best way to test your copper chromite catalyst that's it.
