Sodium cyanide from urea.. Can Zn be used instead of Mg?

I will try to prepare some sodium cyanide by reacting urea with sodium hydroxide under heating then reducing cyante produced in this reaction. I know Mg powder can be used in this reduction but I don't have any
So can I use Zn powder instead?
