Metal+phosphate products?


What would the products be from energetic reactions of metals (say Al) and phosphates (say Ca3(PO4)2) ? Would it result in a phosphide and a metal oxide? Since Al+CaSO4=Al2O3+CaS my guess would be that Al+Ca3(PO4)2=Al2O3+Ca3P2

Wikipedia says C+Ca3(PO4)2=CO+Ca3P2

Probably a mixed salt of unknown constitution.

maybe: Calcium Aluminum Phosphate, CaAlH(PO4)2 - Although the salt is formed readily by reaction of gibbsite with concentrated calcium phosphate solution, it is unstable in dilute solutions and hydrolyzes to amorphous aluminum phosphate.

(Gibbsite is an aluminum hydroxide mineral of the oxides and hydroxides group, with structural formula [Al(OH)3])
