<HUGE> for sale list...

Probably mostly for the biochemist, but here goes. Prices are negotiable, and I get everything for extremely cheap. You give me some kind of money and pay the shipping and it is yours.

The bigger items aren't going to be shipped internationally, sorry - US only for the big shtuff. I do not know if ALL of this works, but I know some of it does work. Ask me and I will test it out for you or confirm it works.

Lets begin:

TJR Refrigeration Unit [Beckman] - used for cold traps/rotovap

2 - slide scales, older models. Peach said not worth much in another post

"Servo gas monitor 12G" - Siemens
[img]http://images.dotmed.com/cgi-bin/size.pl?t=2&a=3&i=933657.jpg[/img]

Temp-Block Module Heater +
Dri Block (Many of these. Used for cell cultures I believe).

Dual water bath Thelco -

Gilson Quad Z 215 Liquid Handler [tray and dispenser only]

Oppendorf Centrifuge + Beckman Microfuge [very small counter top centrifuges]

Hitachi Spectrometer Model 100-10
VERY old. 60's or 70's. Glass is broken, the actual observing unit (which would be a photomultiplier tube on this one) seems to be on the fritz. Possibly worth fixing. comes with bulbs that work + power source for bulbs.

Pelouze scale [for kg quantities]

Rocker Platform - Belco Glass (biomedical)

GenePulser II RF module (don't know what it does)

Cole Palmer 9'' stir plate (for 1000-2000mL erlen meyers)

Fisher Roto-rack - biomedical stuff.

Beckman Model DU IR - I had this for sale before, nobody cared.

Beckman pH meter. This baby is OLD and the probes are undoubtedly dried out. Don't know if it works. I would assume it would with a new probe.

Corning Hot Plate
Corning Stir Plate

Sonicator - Cell Disruptor.

Emerson 85AA vacuum pump

VWR hot bath - seriously have about 100 hot baths.

Duo Seal vacuum pump. this baby weighs about 100 pounds, and sells for around 1.5-3 grand on ebay used. good luck paying for shipping.

Vibracell - sonics materials.

We have a Labconco apparatus that I'm not sure what it does. It has a vacuum and temperature gauge with a large what looks like a metal strainer on top. Very odd machine.

THE BIG ITEMS:
We have 3 perceival incubators. One about 3 feet high, one about 7 feet high, and one about 7 feet high, double capacity. They are nice for the plant/fungus/culture growing... but you would have to arrange for a truck to pick them up. Not an option for most of us.

We have a kelvinator freezer, about 7' long... By the name you know it gets fxing cold.

We also have a few ovens and vacuum ovens.

That is it for now. Let me know if you have any interest in buying these.

Tell me more about the VWR hot bath, is it used for heating oil baths? How hot does it get?

unfortunately no combination hot plate stir plate - I'd be keeping those :P

VWR hot bath. Not too complicated. Heating element attached to a stainless steel or aluminum tub that heats water. Go figure...

Oh yea, I've gathered that, my question was weather or not it gets hot enough to be used to operate oil baths. above 100C? 200C? 300C? Maybe your not sure? As you said "Water bath" I'll assume it doesn't get hot enough for my needs.

Also, your snootiness is not appreciated.

These are for biomedical, so I'm assuming the majority are for water only. However, I'm sure I could find one with >100°C however, the majority of these max out around 120 or so.

You have a price in mind for one? I can look and get back to you.

I had something else in mind, sorry. Seeing as its not something I desperately need its not worth you looking around for it, I won't be making a purchase.

hkparker:
those heating baths are usualy used in labs to keep sample at wanted temp. for example it can be used to melt agar and stuff like that...
but you probbably want oil bath so you can use it for distilation and stuff like that..

Add a nicolet 560 FT IR machine.

This one turns on and seems completely functional (as indicated by the LED lights). Further testing would need to be done on it, though to see if it is completely functional.

An older model I had, a 460 I sold on ebay for 600$. It weighs 100 pounds so shipping would be approximately 100-120$.

Leave offers here. If nobody has a reasonable offer I'll switch it over to ebay.
