Looking for ground glass set.

But made not out of glass, but of something like the pyroceram Visions cookware is. Or quartz. Or anything much stronger/resistant than the standard Pyrex glass. Does such glass ware even exist?

You can get standard tapered glassware made of quartz or even fluoropolymers, yes. But expect to pay more than you would for a nicely used car for a whole set of that. technicalglass.com has quartz glassware.

If you're gonna spend money on quartz, read the manual. I once ruined some expensive equipment because I assumed quartz was impervious to chemical attack.

The main advantage of quartz is that it tolerates temperature gradients much, much better. The coefficient of thermal expansion of quartz is one third that of borosilicate, enough so that its tensile strength is adequate to prevent breakage.

Some hot Lye or Pyrosulfate fusings.

You know, it's largely psychological. Just something I want, so I can fondle it while jerking off. I'd imagine the only really uber robust piece I'd need, would be a boiling flask. But I don't even have the desire for quartz - especially expensive quartz. The light brown stuff made by corning is like 1000X stronger than borosilicate Pyrex. It's largely artificial sapphire (Al2O3 if I'm not mistaken. And there is no need for Cornnig to add that brown or chartreuse dye. So glassware made out of Aluminum oxide. I've even imagined standard 24/40 made up of the brown Visions stuff, and thought to myself, "how cool" that would be. And potentially cheap - ha ha - to make.

Quartz is silicon dioxide. There are perhaps more appropriate items for you based on silicon, but in those the silicon is in polymer form.

lol, forgive my dirty mind :D but you could compare glassware to a lady, a condenser has slender curves, is smooth,...
Why don't you just buy a flask of quartz and the rest standard borosilicate

all above information is intellectual property of Pyro. :D
