Help me in choosing a compound which is soluble in organic solvent


someone help me in choosing a compound which is soluble in organic solvent and can be removed easily by adding a base and resistant to acids.

For a compound to be removable from organic solvet with a base it has to be converted into a water soluble one. There are numerous compounds with acidic functionalities (such as COOH, Ar-OH) which fit the description. Pick and choose one to your liking (and your homework is then done).
