I've run into a good many online games in regards to chemistry, have you-all found any good ones? I like the 2048 derivatives:

You guys don't understand  This place is my social let-off. I used to go for
months not talking to any girls at my school, and talking to 5 different people a day. I wish I were more social in life, but I have like 3 friends,
who all have friends they hang out with more than me. Thats why I'm so quirky here, I'm not used to ppeople, and have a hard time knowing how they
feel about me...

You're not alone with that feeling.
And while I do have a decent amount of friends, I'm not exactly satisfied with all of them. Most of my friendships nowadays are quite shallow and
exist primarily at school only. This forum essentially remains the only outlet for my primary interests. Most of my friends are not interested in
hearing about element collecting, investigating the chemical makeup of common substances, or even stuff that seems cool, like the preparation of
fluorescent compounds. Really anything chemistry related, other than explosives, is dull to them… as is to be expected.

Same about my few friiendships. While we hang out every few months, play Catan, they all have other friends they're with more, who share interests.
Girls? What girls? I haaven't talked to any except at church. I'm kind of tall for 14, 6ft 1in, and am kind of odd in my ways, I wonder if I'm scary
or just weird...

Ehehe. Same here - no romantic partners to speak of. As for friends, my best bro recognizes how much this means to me and does put up with my sciencey
tangents, which is all I could ask for. Most of my real 'friendships' are extremely long-lasting friends - some back from elementary school!
All that aside, I am extremely introverted - where most people seem to have tens or even hundreds of 'friends', I think I only have 4 or 5 real ones.

elementcollector, that's one of the traits of INTJs, (I saw you got that on the test) having few, but close, friends. I'm in the same situation you
described. I've actually met (very few) people who like science.
One of the best parts of sciencemadness is that it's a community. Here we respect each other and can be civilized and joke around (usualy)

i often wonder what people do, like really DO.. i game alot myself, but people who doesnt game or do chemistry or similar, i cant figure it out at all
usually when i happen to have made the poor decision to go to a party with music i dont like, to meet people i have nothing in common with i always
hate myself for not having stayed at home to do whatever.. chemical chameleon, live among smoke and chemical vapours, look at crystals or just DO
something instead of lying to myself about sitting at a party waiting for something to happen is being active
guessing i might have ADD in a weak degree doesnt make it better that what is common to do is to sit and wait for things to happen

Well, I guess that's sorta true for me too. I have plenty of friends, but I haven't really hung out with many of them in a while. Not many are
interested in science, but most are pretty smart.

The secret is, You have to make something happen, be the center of attention. As long as you don't even know anyone there, who cares
if you look dumb at first. Do something wild, and talk to as many people as you can. It's as simple as that.
This is a good site.
Of course unless you don't want to be getting a lot of attention - which is the case for some.

i dont like attention.. nightmare scenario is to walk on a gravel road
i mean.. the kind of people i meet oftenly doesnt even have decent sense of humour, and if they do then its often so crippled it reminds me more of a
90 year old man saying ''cool'' -- cringeworthy, painful
i once at some smaller gathering overheard a few guys talking about purifying ethanol from anti freeze liquid for cars
they were actually on both sides of me, explained them how it could be done easily and then they just went back to their idea which i just explained
why would take alot of effort compared to what i suggested, and these people were not high, not drugged up on amphetamine, heroine -- alcohol.. you
name it
nothing
it just seems of what i recall that people who are usually affected by such substances only think about overdramatizing sorroundings and situations,
perhaps im the only that can see its overdramatized
its just a weird goal to set.. to get drunk and be with people you have only alcohol or narcotics in common with, especially if you dont like to drink
etc

I checked out particle clicker for a second. It's pretty awesome.
Does anyone else hate the fashion industry/celebrities/models, etc? I've always viewed this from a very practical standpoint, and for a teenager who
would wear gray shirts and pants every day if he could, it really bothers me that this industry exists in the way that it does.
Fear is what you get when caution wasn't enough.

Yes, gray is good. I am wearing all gray right now, and tend to do that quite often.
