"Solid Liquid" Phase Transfer Catalysis

Does anyone have experience with this? It is quite appealing in that anionic reactants in the solid phase can be transferred directly to the organic face with a PTC, in a solvent free system. Allowing facile use of water sensitive reactants that are not soluble in organic phases.

The concept seems fairly straight forward, and I was able to find a number of references for it with a google search, but have not yet found any papers documenting it.

I've done Liquid-Liquid PTC plenty of times, but never Solid - Liquid. Just hoping to get some advice before I give it a go.
