why are so many juveniles are so fascinated with bombs? don't they realize that a missing hand will hamper thier ability to choke a chicken? get a life.

Because it goes boom and they don't think about the conequences and reprocussions involved with chemical reactions. By the time they realize how delicate some things are its late, there at the emergency room missing an appendage.

I think you could just about get away with defining juveniles (rather than adults) by their lack of consideration of the consequences of their actions.
In that case the question becomes, more or less, redundant.
