color of ketones?

swip was wondering, does the color of a ketone (p2p) have any outcome on the finish product (meth amph.)? ie: potency, impurities... swip has been using clear colorless p2p for his pt. hydrgenation for as long as swip can remember, but swip recently has seen some p2p that was bright to pale, yellowish to greenish. with a super strong flowery smell and burned when swip tasted it. could anyone with more experice with this, give swip a clue as to why p2p have diffirent colors, smell and taste. what causes the diffirences in charactertists, and what effects they have? thanks guys!

btw. swip vac. distilled 2x's and lost some volume due to decomp. but seems it's still the same.:o
