1,5-diphenylcarbazide

Hey I was wondering what alcoholic solvent is most often used to dissolve 1,5-diphenylcarbazide in order to measure metallic ions, such as mercury(II) in water? Should the alcohol be miscible or immiscible in water?

Vogel's "qualitative inorganic analysis" just says a solution in alcohol- presumably ethanol. I guess methanol or IPA would work.
