trans-/esterification of ethylphenidate compound

Hi there !

I have been wondering if would be possible to convert ethylphenidate to methyl-phenidate group by simple esterification process. like :

dissolving ethylphenidate freebase in ether then adding Methanolic-H2SO4 10% and reflux it for about an 1hour ? Would be this sufficent task to converting it from ethyl to methyl group.

any proposal suggestions are kindly welcome :)
