Where can the capillary tubes like the ones used in lab be purchased? All I found on ebay were things that looked some type of biomedical equipment

It's pretty easy to make them yourself from glass rods using a MAPP torch for example.
One shouldn't accept or resort to the mutilation of science to appease the mentally impaired.

What? We just order hollow rods with an inner diameter of approx 5mm. They're pretty cheap and make good capillary tubes (with some skill) for vacuum
distillations.

I have always used cheap, disposable Pasteur-type pipettes. They are only a few dollars for a large box. Simply rotate over a nice blue flame until an
organge glow is imparted to the flame and the glass begins to sag slightly. Then, firmly, but smoothly pull the ends apart. You should get a very
fine, hollow tube suitable for TLC spotting which can be broken into as many smaller parts as needed. Expect at least 30 spotters per-pipette.
Don't worry when you frag ther first few. They are cheap.

As a follow-up to ozone--you want the -flint glass- pipettes for easy pulling with a typical bunsen burner.
