A mineral is a naturally occurring substance which is usually solid at normal conditions, inorganic and abiogenic, representable by a chemical formula, and has an ordered atomic structure. There are some exceptions for example Mercury is a liquid at normal pressure and temperature, some minerals as Uricite or Hoelite are organic.
