But I maintain that preparing bidentate 'Ti(NO3)4' should not be confused with any aqueous forms of 'classic' titanium nitrate.

Agreed and I haven't found any published crystallographic data about hydrated titanium nitrate either.

If you have full access to CAS registry (I haven't) then searching for it there would be a good starting point.
