YT already commented on the RP as flame retardant. Newspaper with sodium hypochlorite???? No, that is not a good recipe for smoke  . Try paper soaked with a solution of KNO3, let it dry and try to light it. That
should work better.

i kind of detect sarcasm in that post.. (punk)
i have kind of wanted to improvise some impact smoke bombs - maybe a vial of sulfuric secured to mixture of aluminum powder - chlorate and ammonium
chloride -- this wouldnt be a very safe mixture - but still could be interesting

Ping pong balls wrapped tightly w/ aluminium foil like a lollipop & heated with flame.
From what I can remember it would smoke for about 1 minute & produce smoke simular to that picture of burning rp.
I don't recommend holding it for too long tho, sometimes tends to just burst into flames.
